       Costas Carrier Synchronization Loop is a digital signal processing technique used to achieve carrier synchronization in communication systems. In digital communication, one of the modulation methods is binary phase shift keying (BPSK) modulation, so the Costas carrier synchronization loop based on BPSK is widely used in digital communication systems.

        COSTAS is also called in-phase quadrature ring or edge ring, and its structure is shown in Figure 1.
