Unreal graphic notes: How to clean up the junk data of the Character Creator role

The book continues from the above "Unreal Graphic Notes: Character Creator 4 Characters Import Process Notes into UE5.1 through the AutoSetup For Unreal Engine Plugin"

In a project, I imported UE5 according to the above steps, but some inexplicable files were generated. Let me restore the process of finding and solving problems.

1. Model made with Character Creator

2. Import UE5 settings

As you can see, I only want to import the model, and uncheck the Import Animations

3. After importing UE5

It can be seen that compared with the import results in the previous article, it can be seen that 3 more files were generated this time

Junk files are still secondary. If you check the curves on the bones and Morph Target in depth, you will find that there are a lot of curve data, which are obviously meaningless. But if you take a closer look, it is not difficult to see that these curves are all related to the adjustment of the head.

4. Solutions

Active Expression WrinklesGo back to Character Creator and cancel the check in Modify

Export the character again and import into UE5

Check the skeleton, the previous junk curve data is gone too.

5. Summary

I also solved this problem by messing around before. Thanks to writing this log, I thought it was solved by Clean Headshot Data in Headshot
