In the fourth round of national discipline evaluation organized by the Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Development Center of the Ministry of Education, our school’s journalism and communication, drama and film and television studies were rated as A+ disciplines, and art theory was rated as A-disciplines.
The school is an academic center in the field of national information dissemination research. It currently has the State Key Laboratory of Media Convergence and Communication, the National Communication Innovation Research Center of the Key Research Base of Humanities and Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education, the Key Laboratory of Intelligent Media Convergence of the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Education of Media Audio and Video. There are many national, provincial and ministerial scientific research platforms, such as key laboratories, radio and television intelligent engineering research center of the Ministry of Education, national language promotion base, etc., with rich scientific research resources and strong strength.

Examinations
Taking the 2022 doctoral degree postgraduate enrollment method as an example, Communication University of China has three methods : direct doctorate, combined master and doctorate, and general admission .
1. Direct Ph.D.: Direct Ph.D. students are selected from outstanding fresh undergraduate graduates who have been recommended to study for a master's degree without examination this year. Our school has completed the admission of direct doctoral students in 2022.
2. Combined master and doctoral studies: for the full-time non-directed second-year academic master students who have completed the main courses of the master's degree in our school, they are required to have excellent academic performance, strong innovative spirit and scientific research ability.
3. Ordinary Enrollment: Enrollment is open to all candidates who meet the eligibility requirements.
Since 2021, Communication University of China has implemented the "application-assessment system" selection mode for doctoral degree postgraduate admissions (including "Master-Ph.D. Program" and "General Admissions"). The selection process includes candidate registration , submission of application materials , qualification review and Material evaluation , preliminary examination , re-examination and other links.
Note: Candidates for combined master-doctoral studies and general admissions are required to take the preliminary exam!
Preliminary subjects
In 2022, different from 2021, there will be an additional mathematics test in the preliminary engineering test, and due to the epidemic situation, it will be changed to an online test. Therefore, the test time for "Academic Writing" will be adjusted to two and a half hours, and the test time for other subjects will be two hours.
Why sum up this experience
To be honest, it is not necessary to pass high scores in the first test. First of all, the score of the first test has nothing to do with the final score. The first test only determines whether you can enter the re-test, and the passing score of the first test is generally not very high, such as the first test scores of various subjects in 2022 Only 50-55.
In addition, it is relatively troublesome to prepare for the first test. Take the engineering "Science and Technology Literature Reading and Writing" as an example. If you want to get a high score, you need to memorize some English keywords in related fields. But in fact, everyone usually conducts research on a specific field during their master's degree, and they don't know much about other fields, so there must be a lot of words that they don't understand, so it is very difficult to prepare.
Finally, although the score required to pass the line is very low, it will indeed wipe out many people. Taking the 2022 China Communications Examination as an example, 24 people entered the initial test and only 14 entered the re-examination. Most of them may be because I gave up the exam for other reasons, but there is still a certain proportion of candidates in the initial exam.

The biggest problem with English-Chinese translation and Chinese-English translation is that you need to have a full understanding of the professional vocabulary in the field. In 22 years, English-Chinese translation is given five paragraphs of papers in different fields to choose one paragraph, and Chinese-English translation is to choose two out of five. Choose a field you are familiar with for translation. It is recommended that you go to IEEE Xplore before the exam to check the journals in the field related to the scope of the exam, and have a general understanding of the keywords that often appear, otherwise you will lose a lot of points if you can’t even translate the keywords.
The literature reading part is to select the introduction part of a paper, and then write an abstract based on the introduction part. It is important to pay attention here! The requirement for 22 years is to write a 350-word English abstract based on the provided literature. You must know that the abstract of a long paper is generally about 200 words, so it must not be written in the way of a normal paper. If you write the abstract in the normal way, you need to understand the entire paper, it will take a lot of time, and you will definitely not be able to write enough words. If the number of words is not enough, you will definitely deduct a lot of points. Therefore, I personally think that the correct way is to extract the key points of each paragraph of the paper (the key points are usually at the beginning and end of the sentence, pay attention to simple revisions to the original text), and write while reading, which not only takes less time, but also reduces the number of words until the end Definitely meet the requirements.

To sum up, the requirements for the initial test of Zhongchuan are actually not high, and this will not be considered in the final admission, but if you do not prepare well and even fail the initial test, you will not be able to take the subsequent test.
