Object storage reserved space ranges from 500 GB to 1 PB, and there are 7 gears to choose from. In terms of actual costs, customers purchase 500G/year and 1PB/year of reserved space, which are respectively 35% and 50% lower than pay-as-you-go.
If the customer has no requirements on the data storage region and can accept data reading only through the external network, then you can also choose to reserve space without geographical attributes. There are also 10 TB to 1PB of reserved space without geographical attributes, and 4 stalls are available. option, and the price of 1PB capacity is 70% lower than pay-as-you-go.
Of course, the reserved space also has the product characteristics of Alibaba Cloud, such as massive storage, security, low cost, and high reliability. manage.

On the hardware side, make technical improvements to the entire hardware system. From disks, servers, to racks, to clusters, we continue to improve to increase storage density, thereby reducing the cost of storage per unit capacity.
On the software side, on the one hand, by optimizing the use of IOPS, higher-density hardware and servers can be better utilized; on the other hand, through the transformation of the software architecture, new forms of hardware including SMR disks can be enabled.
As a prepaid product, the reserved space can only be used to offset standard storage (local redundancy) capacity charges and ECS snapshot charges generated by buckets with regional attributes under the current Alibaba Cloud account. Overlay purchase of reserved space in the same region is not supported. At the same time, the reserved space is mutually exclusive with the standard local redundant storage package purchased in the same region or in mainland China.
The reserved space deduction method is a constant total amount. Assuming that a customer purchases a 10 TB reserved space in a certain region for one year, the standard storage (local redundancy) capacity fee of 10 TB in that region can be deducted every hour for one year. When the standard storage (local redundancy) capacity of OSS for a certain hour in this region exceeds 10 TB within one year, the reserved space will be deducted from the capacity fee of 10 TB, and the excess part will be paid on a per-use basis.
