The first ZK training camp of PrivacyIN Privacy Academy opened on July 9 has lasted for three weeks. Hundreds of cryptography enthusiasts signed up to participate in the training camp at the beginning of the course. In the first and second weeks of the course, Zhang Yupeng, assistant professor of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Texas A&M University, vividly explained the basics of ZKP cryptography, and provided an overview of current ZKP research. Explore zkSNARKs classic protocols (Groth16, Plonk, Stark), and explain the basic principles of protocol implementation in simple terms.

In the just-concluded third week of the course, Dr. Han Siyuan from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology gave a practice-oriented introduction to the application of ZKP circuits, mainly including an overview of L2 circuit development, zkEVM research, ZK classic circuit analysis, etc. A large number of practical cases have generated heated discussions among the students.

It is worth mentioning that this training camp has hundreds of students who participated in off-site and online learning. Together with the students in the training camp, they listened carefully to the lectures and completed high-quality after-school assignments. Learning boom.

PrivacyIN's first cryptography open class starts today

In order to enable more students and developers around the world to participate in the learning of cryptography, PrivacyIN will launch a series of lectures outside of the course. The first lecture will be held at 20:30 (UTC+8) on July 28 today, and invited to the United States Assistant Professor Wang Xiao from Northwest University served as the keynote speaker, explaining ZKsystem (Mystique).

Xiao Wang is an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science at Northwestern University. After receiving his Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at MIT and Boston University, where his research areas covered computer security, privacy, and cryptography. His current research interests include practically secure multi-party computation, zero-knowledge proofs, oblivious random access machines (ORAM), and post-quantum cryptography. In 2017, Xiao Wang won the ACM CCS Best Paper Award.

In this lecture, Professor Wang Xiao will give an in-depth lecture on the ZKsystem, which can efficiently convert between arithmetic and Boolean values, public submission values ​​and private verification values, with the goal of large-scale AI neural network reasoning.
