Former Meituan co-founder Wang Huiwen is "acquiring" the domestic open source deep learning framework OneFlow

According to the news on March 27, according to "Dear Data" , the former Meituan co-founder Wang Huiwen's team is "acquiring" the domestic AI framework OneFlow.

OneFlow is an industrial-grade general-purpose open source deep learning framework designed with a new architecture, using the Apache 2.0 License. OneFlow took the lead in proposing the core concepts of static scheduling and streaming execution, which solved the challenges of distributed expansion of heterogeneous clusters brought about by big data, big models, and big computing. It has five advantages: full parallel mode, high operating efficiency, and easy distribution. Use, resource saving, and strong stability.

The OneFlow deep learning framework is the core product of the first-class technology. It is said to have completely independent intellectual property rights and has obtained more than ten invention patent authorizations. Yuan Jinhui, the founder of First-Rate Technology (known as Teacher Mu on Weibo), obtained a doctorate in engineering from the Computer Department of Tsinghua University in July 2008, and won the Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award of Tsinghua University. In 2013, he joined Microsoft Research Asia to work on large-scale machine learning platforms. research and development work.

From 2015 to the end of 2016, he focused on building a deep learning platform based on heterogeneous clusters. The project won the Microsoft Research Asia Dean's Special Award (top 1%). Founded Beijing First-Class Technology Co., Ltd. in 2017, dedicated to building a distributed deep learning platform.

In February 2021, First-Rate Technology was exclusively led by Hillhouse Venture Capital in the A round, with a total financing of 50 million yuan.

In the "2022 China Open Source Developer Report" jointly released by OSCHINA and Gitee this year , we were also honored to invite Yuan Jinhui to conduct an in-depth analysis of "Open Source AI" in the column "Interpretation of Frontier Open Source Technology". He mentioned that the open source model has led to the trend of AI standardization and scale. Starting from the standardization of algorithms, it brings opportunities for software standardization, while hardware, technology platforms, and best practices are also standardized... Last month, Wang Huiwen published a document announcing his entry into the AI field and the establishment of Beijing Light Year Beyond Technology Co., Ltd., with an investment of US$50 million and a valuation of US$200 million, saying that he will build China's OpenAI. Later, Wang Xing said in the circle of friends: "...Since he is determined to embrace this big wave, I must support it." According to Wang Huiwen, 75% of the company's shares are used to invite top R&D personnel.

On February 15th, Light Years Beyond ushered in a technical backbone—Liu Jiang, vice president of Beijing Zhiyuan Artificial Intelligence Research Institute. Wang (Wang Huiwen) builds a dream team of Chinese AI large-scale models, benchmarking against OpenAl, and builds China's own ChatGPT and basic large-scale models."

Wang Huiwen's recruitment is far from over. A few days ago, he posted in Jiji that "Three co-founders have been confirmed, one with an Infra background, one with an algorithm background, and me. The two joint founders have strong practical capabilities. And the most cutting-edge academic research results in the industry. The three of us are very excited to form a team and fight side by side...We look forward to more technical talents with dreams to join."
