The perception of work 20130308

I feel that work is the same as martial arts, you need to learn moves from martial arts cheats, and then combine the actual and continuous perception.
After reading some books and working together, I have some insights of my own.
Record it, firstly, to organize your thoughts, and secondly, so as not to forget.
It only represents the current thinking at this time in the current environment and may change in the future.

1. Technical barriers It is a matter of course that
programmers have high pursuit of technology, but sometimes this pursuit and technical professionalism may also produce technical barriers.
For example: refuting product requirements with technical expertise, naively thinking that I am a technical expert and can decide the direction of the product;
trivial changes to annoying functions, these small changes can actually improve the user experience.
Technology needs to rely on products to generate value, and programmers also need product thinking, with the goal of improving product value and deciding on technical solutions.
The product is successful, the team can be recognized, the team can be recognized, and the people in the team can be recognized.

2. It may not be appropriate to use either 0 or 1 as
a metaphor. I feel that the programmer is a bit like a fierce general like Lu Bu in the Three Kingdoms, who is attacking the left and right, and can't wait to fight the enemy generals one-on-one.
In the thinking of the program, it is more about do or not, do or not, right or wrong, and how to achieve it.
Some workarounds are missing, how much to do? How many steps to do? Who is more suitable? what time to do it?
There is no absolute correct solution, do not try, do not know the results. Don't resist each other's ideas, be open-minded and accept each other's ideas.
In reality, there are many paths to take, don't be trapped by your own thoughts.

3. The power of belief The belief discussed
here has certain prerequisites. First of all, we must confirm that our leaders and subordinates meet the basic requirements of their positions, are professional, have a sense of responsibility, and are fair and just.
Projects are valuable, and we can create value when we achieve our goals.
Based on this premise, various problems will be encountered in the work, and the information asymmetry in the grasp will cause doubts. At this time, choose to believe.
There are two directions of believing: believing upwards and believing downwards.
Believe upward, believe in your own leadership, believe in the project. If you don't trust them yourself, and your team members can feel it, they won't trust you, and they won't trust you. Teams lose vision and purpose.
Believe down, believe in the members of your own team, believe that they can lead their respective teams well, and can better complete the task. Your trust in them will help them keep going.
People are very sensitive, no matter how you hide your attitude (non-professional actors), the other party can feel it. Believe, don't blame, help them.
You believe they can do it, and they do.

4. Peace of mind
Have you ever felt this way? In a conference room, everyone is discussing issues. You feel like your perspective is not emanating from your body.
Instead, look at everyone, including yourself, from angles like roofs, windows, or lights. My own ideas and discussions are very simple, not mixed with the interests of departments, personal positions, only to achieve better goals.
Peace of mind, simple thinking, only thinking about the problem itself, and experiencing the joy brought by work.
Put aside the abnormal anxiety on the line, the criticism of the leader, and the position of responsibility. accept the truth.

5. High standards, don't insist. The transformation of
people is difficult and requires a process.
It's okay to have high standards, but don't force someone to change right away. Just talk about the standard, let the team know, give them time, and help them make the transition.
There are a few words in QBQ, some feelings, and I share them:
May God give me peace and accept the people I can't change;
May God give me the courage to change the people I can change;
May God give me wisdom to understand myself as a person.
