Win7 installation centos6.5 detailed steps (hard disk installation centos6.5)

1. Software required during installation

1. Hard disk partition software pqmagic

2. Ext2Fsd copies files to the ext2 (or ext3) file system under Windows. Since the ext2 type file system cannot be recognized under Windows, that is, the ext2 type partition is hidden and invisible under Windows. Ext2Fsd can pass Set to display the ext2 partition, so that the corresponding files (mainly CentOS system images) can be copied to the ext2 partition. The Ext2Fsd used in this article is the installation version of Ext2Fsd- 0.51.exe, and it is best not to use it after decompression. If the installed system image iso is less than 4GB, you only need to format it into the FAT32 file system, and the Ext2Fsd tool is not needed at this time.

3. EasyBCD, supports multiple booting of various operating systems: EasyBCD2.1.2

Second, centos system installation files

Download the centos 6.5 iso file, there are a total of the following types of iso versions, a brief introduction:

BinDVD version: ordinary installation version, it needs to be installed on the computer hard disk before it can be used. The bin is generally relatively large and contains a large number of commonly used software. There is no need to download it online during installation (in most cases).
LiveDVD version: It is a CD-ROM CentOS system. You can start the computer through the CD-ROM, and start the CentOS system. It also has a graphical interface and a terminal. It can also be installed to a computer, but some content may also need to be downloaded from the website again (automatically).
LiveCD version: Compared with LiveDVD, it is a compact disc CentOS system. Smaller size, easy to maintain and use.
Minimal Edition: Minimal Edition
Netinstall Edition: Network Installation Edition

3. Installation method of LiveDVD or LiveCD version of centos

If you downloaded the LiveDVD or LiveCD version (the installation file iso size is less than 4GB), then congratulations, the installation is relatively simple.

1. Use pqmagic to divide a partition for installing centos. I usually divide a partition at the end of the disk.

2. Find any FAT32 partition, put the downloaded centos image file centos-xxx.iso under the partition, assuming it is the E: drive

3. Unzip the vmlinuz and initrd.img in the isolinux folder of the centos image (if there is only vmlinuz0, use vmlinuz0, and the following commands need to be modified accordingly) to the E:\ root directory, and decompress the images folder to the E:\ root directory , that is to say, in the same directory as the centos image

4. Open the easybcd software, Add new Entry —> NeoGrub —> install —> Configure, in the opened menu.lst file, add the following lines

title CentOS
kernel (hd0,5)/vmlinuz
initrd (hd0,5)/initrd.img

Note that the above (hd0, 5) represents disk E. Generally speaking, (hd0, 0) is disk C, (hd0, 4) is disk D, (hd0, 5) is disk E, and so on.

5. Power on and restart, select the NeroGrub menu to enter, and select the disk where the iso file is located. Next, the installation method is the same as the CD-ROM installation.

Fourth, the installation method of BinDVD version centos

If, unfortunately, like me, you want to use a BinDVD version with more powerful software and more software, then you need to understand why you can't use the method introduced in Section 3: because the FAT32 format file system does not support a single file larger than 4GB document. So you can't copy the centos image file to the disk formatted as FAT32.

Then, you need to use the following workaround: get an ext3 file system (this is under linux), so that you can copy the centos image file larger than 4GB into it.

1. Use pqmagic to divide two partitions. The first one is in ext3 format, which is used to put centos image files. The second one is no matter what format it is, it is used to install centos. I usually divide it into two partitions at the end of the disk. partition.

2. Install Ext2Fsd, remember this step, all checked

3. After installation, open it, find the ext3 partition in step 1, right-click, and select "Configure File System"

Click "Enable" and "Change and Exit". Continue to select this disk, right-click and select "Configure ext3 volume properties"

Continue to select this disk, right-click, select "Disk and Partition Properties", select "Change Drive Letter/Mount Point",

Select "Add"

Configure according to the above picture, click "Load and Exit".

At this point, the configuration is completed, and when I open my computer, I find the E disk, and it can be opened normally. The copy/paste/delete operations are the same as those under Windows. Note that a lost+found folder will appear on the E drive at this time, please do not delete it.

4. Copy the downloaded centos image file centos-xxx.iso to the E: drive, decompress the vmlinuz and initrd.img in the isolinux folder of the centos image (if there is only vmlinuz0, use vmlinuz0, and the following instructions need to be modified accordingly) to E:\ drive root directory, unzip the images folder to the E:\ drive root directory, that is to say in the same directory as the centos image

5. Open the easybcd software, Add new Entry —> NeoGrub —> install —> Configure, in the opened menu.lst file, add the following lines

title CentOS
kernel (hd0,5)/vml
inuzinitrd (hd0,5)/initrd .img
Note that the above (hd0, 5) represents the E drive. Generally speaking, (hd0,0) is the C drive, (hd0, 4) is the D drive, (hd0, 5) is the E drive, and so on.
6. Power on and restart, select the NeroGrub menu to enter, and select the disk where the iso file is located. Next, the installation method is the same as the CD-ROM installation.

5. Other information

After installation, startup, and login, it is found that you cannot access the Internet. You need to make the following configuration changes (assuming you are logged in with root privileges)

1. vim /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0

ONBOOT=yes #Whether to set this network interface when the system starts, when it is set to yes, the device is activated when the system starts, the default value is no

2. If you are a domain account in the company, then you need to set it up: open system->preferences->network connections

Click Edit

Then restart the network service service network restart
