PMP Induction 2

The project scope represents the work that needs to be done to build the product.

The 5 Processes of Scope Management
1. Scope Planning
You can use a scope management plan to get your project moving quickly, it contains processes that guide you in defining what the team must do to complete the project
2. Scope Definition
Determine exactly what your stakeholders need by developing a project scope statement, and actually translate those needs into what the team needs to do to deliver a good product
3. Create a work breakdown structure
Work breakdown structure, WBS) organizes all the work the team does into work packages - pieces of work that team members do so that you can keep the project moving from the start.
4. Scope Control
We already know how important it is to control changes in a project. The most frustrating project problems are caused when scope changes are not controlled. The purpose of scope control is to update the scope, plan, baseline and WBS information.
5. Scope Verification
Once the work is complete, it must be confirmed that what you are delivering matches what you have written in the scope statement.
