North-South flow

1. Three-layer network architecture:
Access layer: responsible for server access and isolation
Convergence layer: Convergence layer is the "middle layer" between the network access layer and the core layer, reducing the burden of the
core layer Core layer: The core layer is the network High-speed switching backbone

2. Convergence ratio

The convergence ratio is the ratio of the bandwidth of the two objects to be compared. Generally, the lower the convergence ratio, the stronger the service capability.
Port convergence ratio: As shown in the figure, the access switch has 32 1Gb ports downstream, the switch backplane bandwidth has 20Gb, and the convergence ratio is 32*1:20 = 8:5.
Access convergence convergence ratio: Assuming the downlink bandwidth of the aggregation switch 10Gb, then the convergence ratio is 32*1:10 = 16:5

3. East-West traffic, North-South traffic As shown in
Figure 2, the traffic inside the switch, inside the equipment room or inside the AS is called east-west traffic
, internal and external traffic is called north-south traffic
