Import Excel file

1. We can make modifications to the data and then import it back into the modeling tool for model updates. For example, change the name of the class "Writer" to "Author".

Note: If you want to add something extra to the exported Excel table instead of simply modifying the model element properties, make sure it doesn't affect the exported content. Otherwise, the file cannot be imported back into the source project. To avoid affecting the exported data, type in cells away from these contents. The best position is to stay at least five lines away from the bottom end of the exported content.

2. Save the file.

3. Go back to Visual Paradigm. From the toolbar select Project > Import > Excel...

4.  The Import window shows which models will be changed, click OK to confirm.
