Ubuntu14.04 64-bit Server Edition Installation Notes

Lao Mao Tao U disk boot select load ISO

Method 1. Directly put the ISO file in the LMT directory of the root directory of the U disk

Method 2: Select the item to load ISO, then select one of the sub-items, and press B to enter the GRUB command line mode

You may encounter this problem, then the idea is to mount the installation image file on the U disk to /cdrom

To mount the image manually, mount it manually with the mount command in the terminal.
The specific method is as follows:

First enter the shell and use the ls command to view the mounted devices such as
/dev/sda /dev/sda1 /dev/sda3 /dev/sda5 /dev/sdb /dev/sdb1
Then unplug the U disk and then ls /dev/sd* You can view
/dev/sda /dev/sda1 /dev/sda3 /dev/sda5 and
you can see that the USB disk is dev/sdb, then the partition on the USB disk is dev/sdb1,
so we can have mkdir /mnt/udisk following Create an empty directory
in the directory and mount the u disk under this directory mount /dev/sdb1 /mnt/udisk and
then mount the image inside mount -o loop /mnt/udisk/path-to-ubuntu.iso /cdrom
finally exits (exit command) to install normally.

Note: Don't forget to install openssh-server
