openoffice windows service installation

1. Download windows resource kit tools (rktools)

2. The installation is completed as shown below



 3. Service installation

Note the path, it must be an absolute path

C:\Users\Administrator>C:\WindowsResourceKits\instsrv.exe "openoffice" C:\WindowsResourceKits\srvany.exe

4. Registry Edit

1. Run Registry Editor (Regedt32.exe) and locate the following subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ <name of service created>

 

2. Create a new item Parameters, and add two string values ​​under this item: key (name): Application  value (data): openoffice soffice.exe installation path, key (name): AppParameters value (data): -invisible -headless -accept=socket,host=127.0.0.1,port=8100;urp; -nofirststartwizard

 

After completion, as shown in the figure:



 

 

5. Start the service

     net start openoffice

     Use TCP to see if port 8100 of your openoffice is listening  netstat -anop tcp
