Chapter 3   Testing Methods

In this chapter, the book focuses on the testing methods. In general, it is divided into the following issues, that is, the five elements of testing.

  • Who will test? That is, testers; such as user testing or alpha, beta testing?
  •  Measure what? Test what? What needs to be covered, such as functionality, performance, etc.
  •  Why test? The reason for the test. What risk is the test based on? For example, testing for extreme value errors
  •  How to measure? How testers test.
  •  How to measure test results?
  • How can I tell if the test passed or failed?

 In general, there are several classification methods according to different emphases as follows. However, in specific practice, it still needs to be considered according to the characteristics of different products.
