Microsoft Build 2017 developer conference: Azure and the rapid development of AI

The annual Microsoft Build conference set sail on time. This year's conference moved from San Francisco to Seattle, a coastal city in the western United States that has become a household name in China with the goddess Tang Wei in recent years.

15 minutes before the opening, the main venue of the conference is ready.

First of all, Satya Nedra started the opening speech of Build 2017. First, he took up the topic of the previous year. He said that technology has evolved rapidly, and these changes in technology have brought opportunities to developers, but also a responsibility.

List some numbers to prove Microsoft's efforts, including the use of Windows 10 devices, office365 and other competitive products.

Then I mentioned Microsoft's exploration and provision of some services in the cutting-edge direction of artificial intelligence AI, robot Bot, Internet of things IoT, etc., of course, through the so-called "Intelligent Cloud" (Intelligent Cloud) way to open.

Take SANDVIK as an example to illustrate the implementation of a "serviceless" architecture through related services such as Stream Analytics, Azure Function, and Azure IoT Edge (I have to say that Microsoft's demo dashboard is really cool).

Next, Satya turned the topic back to AI and used AI technology to achieve safety supervision.

Satya then narrated an example of using technology to help Parkinson's patients write independently, emphasizing the opportunities brought by technology and the responsibility of the skilled person.

Scott begins to explain in more detail Microsoft's research and investments in cloud technology.

Next, another Scott took the stage to explain the improvements and new features of the Azure Portal.

数字说话,Azure 现在的采用情况,财富500强企业90%都用了。

现场播放一个合作伙伴的对 Azure 的使用感受,而其中的共同点是采用 Azure SQL。

接下来很自然的宣布 SQL Server 2017 的发布,这是一个真正全平台的数据库系统,可以跑在 Windows 或者 Linux,甚至在 Docker 容器内。

终于 Azure 自己也开始支持 MySQL 和 PostgreSQL 了,各位技术选型又多了一条(头疼,选哪个好呢)。

另外,一个新型数据库,称之为 CosmosDB(这个名字也是醉了),这是一个分布式,多模型的数据库服务。

关键的是已经有吃螃蟹的了,从数据来看确实规模不小。

当然,现场演示这个宇宙数据库是必须的(演示了一个图的查询片段)。

然后 Scott 再次申明 Azure Cosmos DB 的正式可用。

最后话题转到 Visual Studio 上,更好的容器支持,更好的 DevOps 支持。

现场演示容器支持,这是 Windows 容器,不过跨容器的调试听起来非常高大上,还有这个 Azure 新的状态面板,很直观 。

接下来还有经典的 Fabric 的更新,当然,可以是 Azure 上的服务或者 Azure Stack,甚至自己部署。

在容器这么火的时候,不说说容器服务都不好意思出门,当然,还有更进一步的,对于 Serverless 的支持,Visual Studio 也不会少的,终于可以在本地开发 Azure Functions 了。

接下来说说 Azure Stack,更容易的创建 Azure 类似的环境甚至数据中心,当然微软放出来一批更新和用例,顺带提到微软 Azure 的数据中心已经拓展到38个了。嗯,比 Amazon 还多,Scott 很自信的说。

Adobe 现在将其服务建立在 Azure上 了(微软画外音:快来用Azure吧)。

借助 Azure 和 PowerBI,Adobe 来对数据进行处理和展示。

Azure 还和众多的 ISV 合作。

接下来主要转到 AI 上,来自研究团队,如何实现基于自然语言的交互,并帮助广大开发人员。

首先解释微软为什么要做 AI,不仅仅是看起来先进,同时也会实实在在的改变现实开发。

接下解释微软如何把 AI 技术推向开发人员,当然,首先是前两年提到的 Cognitive Services,微软在此基础上进一步扩展。

现场演示如何通过 Conversation AI 技术来识别物品和一些看起来很玄幻的事情。

当然,这些演示的服务都正式发布了,作为微软的承诺,将 Azure 和 AI 集成,形成优势服务。

然后是一段视频,又是熟悉的语调,来自上海的 Airdoc 和他们对于 AI 的使用体验。

接下演示实时翻译,从西班牙语翻译到中文,略有延迟,总体还是比较顺畅的,但是识别中文就略微逊色了不少。

最后是微软对 AI 的畅想,微软希望无论是在工业领域还是业务领域,AI 都能提供实在的帮助,进一步改变世界。
