The Proxy under the Settings of Google Chrome under Ubuntu cannot be configured by default. In mainland China, it usually leads to inability to access Google and install some extensions that are useful for program development. This is quite inconvenient for us who are engaged in program development. The method is as follows:

Most companies will provide a proxy for accessing the external network, open the System Settings of Ubuntu

Click Network, select Network proxy, enter your company's proxy, and Apply system wide

Next, you can open Chrome, visit Google's official website, and get Google Extentions, such as installing AdBlock, Proxy SwitchyOmega, etc., to facilitate program development.
