2. Synchronize Zotero with Baidu Netdisk
1. About Zotero
Zotero is a very useful document manager.
First of all, it is convenient to upload documents. If you have a PDF file, drag it directly into Zotero, and the software can automatically identify the information of the document and copy the PDF to a specific folder with a standard name. Mom no longer has to worry about my documents being messy. La~ (bushi). Zotero also has a powerful web plug-in. When looking up documents on the web, zotero's plug-in can automatically identify documents. Just click the button of the plug-in, and you can specify the documents to be included in a specific category.
Secondly, document management is very convenient. Not only can you assign folders of different categories to documents like Endnote, but you can also assign labels to documents, related documents, etc., and you can quickly search through folders and labels in the later stage. Moreover, zotero also supports storing related documents, notes and documents themselves together and viewing them on different computers or devices.
Zotero is still in constant development, and there will be many surprising features in the future. But one thing that is not good is that Zotero comes with only 300M of cloud storage space by default. As a professional scientific researcher, this capacity is definitely not enough, but fortunately, zotero can also use other clouds to achieve synchronization The functions and implementation methods are similar. They are all connected to the storage folder of zotero through the mklink command, so that zotero only needs to store the link, not the specific file. Next, take Baidu network disk as an example.
2. Synchronize Zotero with Baidu Netdisk
Step1. Set up the synchronization space: Create a new folder in the synchronization space of Baidu network disk and name it zotero
After the creation is complete, the logo of Baidu network disk synchronization space will appear on the desktop.
Step2. Transfer the storage folder of zotero to Baidu network disk synchronization space
Open zotero, click "Edit" --> "Preferences"
In the preferences, click Advanced "Files and Folders" to open the data folder and jump to the local folder of zotero
Copy the storage folder to the zotero folder created by Baidu network disk synchronization space, and then delete the storage folder in the jump folder in the figure above.
Step3. Create a link
Open command prompt as administrator
In the window enter:
mklink /d C:\Users\xxx\Zotero\storage D:\BaiduNetdiskWorkspace\zotero\storage
