Recap

Monte Carlo cat test:

Put the cat into a box with a known volume of V_box, and evenly take N random points in the box, of which M are in the cat's body, and the cat's volume is approximately V_box*M/N.

Achieving this cat-measuring method requires a way to instantaneously determine whether a point is a cat or non-cat, otherwise the volume swept by the cat instead of the cat volume would be measured when the cat is in motion.

I decided to use the method shown in the image below. . .

Install as many laser lights as possible on the wall of the box, and use photosensitive material on the wall of the box. To determine whether a point is a cat or not, direct all lasers to the target point. If the target point is a cat, the laser will be blocked by the cat so the laser will not be detected at any point on the box wall. Therefore, we use the following principles to judge whether the target point is a cat or not:

Measurements can be done in a fraction of the time, fast enough to ignore the cat's movements.

===========================
Of course, this method is flawed, and some sunken parts on the cat's body may become impenetrable by the laser dead space, and therefore counted in the cat volume.
