secureCRT character set garbled question mark  theme  font color matching

When customizing the securtCRT theme, the inexplicable Chinese input all turned into question mark characters. All the solutions on the Internet are invalid. It is definitely not the problem of the default encoding setting of the Linux system mentioned on the Internet. The securtCRT has also been set to UTF8 encoding.

After trial and error, I finally found the problem.

It turned out to be a font problem. The font was changed during the theme customization, but that font does not support the Chinese character set. Alas, it is a deeply hidden detail.

As shown in the figure, be sure to select a font that supports the Chinese character set:

This italics supports the Chinese character set GB2312, which does not conflict with the utf8 default setting of your linux, where GB2312 is the input character set of the secureCRT terminal.

This font has no Chinese character set support, so when you enter Chinese in secureCRT, the characters will become question marks, because the terminal tool cannot recognize Chinese at this time.
