In this book, I will use Kotlin as the main language to develop an android application. The way is to learn the language by developing an application, rather than learning it according to the traditional structure. I'll stop at points of interest to talk about some of the concepts and features of Kotlin by way of comparison with Java 1.7. This way you can see how they differ and which part of the language feature will make you more productive.
This book is not a language reference book, but it is a tool for an Android developer to learn Kotlin and use it in his own projects. I will solve many typical problems we encounter in our daily life by using some language features and interesting tools and libraries.
This book is very hands-on, so I recommend that you follow along with my examples and code practice in front of your computer. You can dive into practice whenever you have some ideas.
As you know, this is a Lean Publishing. In other words, this book was written with you. I will write new content and check previous content based on your replies and suggestions.
