basic nomenclature

EVT: Engineering Verification Test, engineering verification test
design verification in the early stage of product development. When the designer realizes the sample, he will do the initial test and verification, including functional and safety testing. Generally, the RD (Research & Development) will conduct a comprehensive verification of the sample. Because it is a sample, there may be many problems, and the test may be done N times.

DVT: Design Verification Test, the design
verification test is carried out after solving the problem of the sample in the EVT stage, and the level and timing of all signals are tested, and the safety test is completed, which is verified by RD and DQA (Design Quality Assurance). At this point the product is basically finalized.

DMT: Design Maturity Test, maturity verification
Maturity verification can be carried out simultaneously with DVT, and the MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure) of the product is tested under the main limit conditions. HALT (High Accelerated Life Test) & HASS (High Accelerated Stress Screen), etc., are effective methods to check potential defects of products.

MVT: Mass-Production Verification Test, mass production verification
The mass production verification test verifies the mass consistency of the product during mass production, verified by DQA.
