The first: the file is placed on the desktop without occupying the C drive
If you are still used to putting files on the desktop, the C drive will only become more and more full, causing the computer to freeze.
Let me save your computer
. First, double-click to open "this computer", right-click the desktop, select properties
, click the location, and select move
to find another drive letter , then create a new folder, name it Desktop, then click "Select Folder" in the lower right corner,
click OK
, click Yes, move the original file to the new location, and then the desktop can be placed anywhere
The second: in the computer storage
Change computer storage location
The default path for downloading files on the computer is the C drive. After a long time, the C drive will become very popular, and it will be stuck.
Solution:
We just need to click the "Start button" in the lower left corner of the desktop ----> Select the small gear button to enter the Settings
and then select System, go in and select Storage, then select "Change the save location of new content"
You can see that the C drive is displayed on the left now
. Click "Windows (C:)" in the box and select Change to Other Drive letter, and then click Apply on the right.

Computer cleans itself regularly
Open the settings to select the system, select the settings

Large software installed in the C drive
Then return to the storage page, select applications and functions
, and directly uninstall or reinstall these large-scale software installed on the C drive, and then select another disk for the download or installation location.
The third type: browser download to change the download location
Everyone will inevitably use the browser to download things. Here is an example of WIN10's own browser.
First click the three small dots in the upper right corner, then go down to find the download,
then select the three dots in the upper right corner, and then click Download Settings
to enter the download settings. I saw it after the page (I have changed this one), I created a new folder on the E drive to download from the computer browser to prevent you from finding something, you can also try it, you can’t find it anywhere in the province.
Fourth: change virtual memory
When your running memory is not enough, the system will use part of your hard disk as a memory stick. This is virtual memory. For
example, the pagefile.sys file
first opens the desktop "This Computer", opens the C drive, clicks View on the top menu, and then Click Options 
and then click View in Folder Options , uncheck (uncheck
) Hide protected operating system files (recommended),
check (check) Show hidden files, folders, and drives, and
click OK to display the file in Explorer. See the pagefile.sys file
in the picture above. Generally, the pagefile.sys file cannot be deleted directly, and it is not safe to delete
it. The best way is to move it to another drive letter, but not cut or drag
it to search in the start menu For advanced system settings

remove the √ in the upper left corner, that is, automatically manage the paging file size of all drives (A ) to
manually set the following options
It can be noticed that the current C drive is a managed system.
We choose another drive, check (tick) the size of the system management (Y) below,
and then click to set it in the lower right corner. **
Generally, it can be set automatically
if necessary . Manually set, just click on the custom size, manually allocate the space,
so that the D/E disk has the corresponding virtual memory space
The following dotted lines are operations that need to be manually set (custom size)
If you need to manually set it, first right-click the computer and select Properties, remember this value, this is the computer's running memory,
and then go back to the custom size page just now
Initial size = running memory × 1000
maximum value = running memory × 2 × 1000
Finally, click Set and then confirm
, so that E disk or other disks have corresponding virtual memory space
The above dotted line is the operation that needs to be manually set (custom size)
To delete the space in the original C drive, also click the C drive
here, set it to no paging file (N), click the setting on the right, and then click OK
. After restarting the computer, you will find the original pagefile on the C drive. The .sys file is gone
. In this way, you have successfully transferred the virtual memory, which may be up to several gigabytes in size, to other disks
. There is a new pagefile.sys file under the E disk, and you can see its size. The
last step, click Check out the hidden items, both the C drive and the newly hosted drive need to be done! Of course, it is best to hide the system protection files to ensure security

Borrow the computer's own command prompt
You can also use the computer command prompt to clean up the computer disk.
First, click the magnifying glass icon in the lower left corner and enter: cmd
. After the window comes out, run it as an administrator.
First enter: chkdsk
and enter, wait for the system self-check to complete,
then enter: sfc/scannow,
enter and wait. Repair is complete
Sixth: Five Deletable Folders on C Drive
The first: Download
Find the SoftwareDistribution folder in the Windows folder of the C drive, double-click to open it, and you can see
it. It mainly stores software such as update patches and installation packages of the system**
The second: Help
Here is the help file of the system, which is also found in the Windows folder, you can delete it if you don't need it**
The third type: Logfiles
Log folder, location: C:\Windows\System32\LogFiles
Mainly record system and software cache records**
Fourth: Prefetch
It is also under the Windows folder, which mainly stores the pre-reading information of files that have been accessed by the system**

Win+r Enter the temporary folder that is mainly stored in %temp% and you can also clean it up **
