The co-founder of ethereum: ETH doesn’t need to be regulated

When the day ethereum price declined, the founder of ethereum denied that eth is a kind of portfolio investment. About the question that TheStreet asked in Tuesday,  Joseph Lubin replied that when he created the platform and technique with other founders, they worried that it may be considered as the security which is not allowed to sell to the American unregistered investors. Currently, ethereum is the second largest cryptocurrency, and its market capital is about $65 billion.

 

Lubin said, “We spent a long time to make contact with the lawyers from different countries, and we don’t worry about it because it never be the security.”

It is reported that American regulators is considering to regard cryptocurrencies as security and regulate them, especially ethereum. The eth price declined afterwards.

 

“We are unworried because numerous regulators understand what ethereum is. We don’t care the discussion at present.” Lubin added. When asked who should regulate ethereum, he believed that it doesn’t need any regulator.
