How to Download Google Earth Historical Maps

      Friends who often use Google earth should know that Google earth provides historical images at different times, but these images can only be viewed, not downloaded. If you want to download these historical images, you can use the Shuijingzhu universal map downloader to download.

method/step

    1. Place the mouse on the map icon in the upper left corner, and select "Historical Image" in the pop-up drop-down list (Figure 1).

    2. In order to facilitate the selection and viewing of the time, place the mouse on the upper left menu bar, and check the "shooting time" in the drop-down box that appears (Figure 2).

    3. First zoom the map to the place to be downloaded, and then select a time in the upper left to switch to the map image at that time (Figure 3).

    4. Select the map of Shanghai in 2000 to download here. After selecting the time, click "Download" → "Download by Frame", and select the frame of the map to be downloaded (Figure 4).

    5. Double-click, select "Simple Mode" in the pop-up dialog box, set the task name and check the download level (Figure 5), and click "OK" to start the download. Note: Before selecting a level, be sure to check online to see if the image time of the current level is the time you need. Due to the particularity of historical maps, the same place may have different times at different levels.

    6. After the download is complete, it will be automatically exported to a tif format image, and the opening effect is shown in Figure 6. At this point, the download of historical images is completed. Interested friends can use the universal map downloader to try it out.
