Remember a trip to death

emmm. . . Yesterday, the boss gave me a task to write a script under linux to obtain the current CPU temperature, disk read and write status, memory usage, etc., and I happily agreed, ummm, and started to fiddle.

Since I have never used the Linux system, the computer is win7, so I plan to install dual systems and start tossing.

I don't have a U disk, so I don't want to be too troublesome, so I choose to use easybcd (the source of all evil) to boot and install a linux CentOS distribution.

The problem was when I used easybcd to add the Windows startup item, I accidentally deleted the Windows startup item, and only kept the CentOS boot, so I was happy to find that the win system could no longer be started. After an afternoon, there were three An idea: either install centos according to the centos guide and then solve this problem, or find a way to delete all the startup items, and see if there is no OS startup item to start the default system in the computer? The worst plan is to reinstall the system, but I don't want to lose some files in it. . .

But the centos boot has been unable to install, because I can't find my CentOS DVD, I am very desperate. Specifically: at the beginning, I didn't know which (hd0,x) number my centos was placed in (later I found out that I need a software to see this), I see that most people's x range is [0,9 ] So I only tried one by one, and found that mine was (hd0,5), and successfully entered, but dracut...balabal...that is, I still couldn't find where the DVD was.

Then I heard that even if you delete all the startup items, the win system that exists in the computer cannot be started by default, and you can only use PE to boot and repair.

However, I don't know why using PE to boot and repair has been useless, and it is getting more and more uncomfortable. . .

Got home and slept. . .

I took leave today and checked the information on another computer at home for a while, and things took a turn for the better. According to this blog , I was finally able to install CentOS. Although I did not install the OS with a U disk, the principle is similar. As long as I can find the DVD, it's fine. I'm currently installing it. I don't know if it will be successful in the end, but I'm very happy to see the UI now. . .
