Here comes the beta version of Kydroid, a compatible environment for Kylin Android!

       On January 26, 2018, the development team of National Defense Technology University and Tianjin Kirin Company officially released the Kydroid beta1 version. Kydroid is an Android-compatible operating environment specially created by the Kylin team for the "Galaxy Kylin OS + Feiteng Platform" to meet the diverse application needs of users. Kydroid enables users to install and run all applications of Android system in Galaxy Kylin operating system, such as Android games, QQ, stocks, etc.

       After Kydroid released the Alpha version in November 2017, it has received extensive attention from Linux enthusiasts and the industry, and a lot of suggestions and opinions have been fed back through the trial version. The Beta1 version released this time lasted 4 months of development, and the main functions are as follows:

 

      Improve the execution environment startup method. You can start the Kydroid environment by clicking the APP shortcut or the "Kylin Android Program" shortcut. It takes a little longer to start the program for the first time after booting;

 

      Support most common apps and some large-scale 3D game apps;

 

      Support shortcuts in the start menu, and come with several commonly used APPs;

 

      Support to download the APK package to install the Android APP by yourself, just double-click the APK file to open the installation wizard, after the installation is complete, a shortcut will be created on the desktop and start menu;

 

 

      Added horizontal and vertical screen switching function, users can freely switch between horizontal and vertical screens with one click;

 

 

      Support the WSAD cross direction key of the King of Glory (the switch is located in the right column of the interface);

 

 

      Currently running large and complex 3D games may occasionally freeze or other abnormal situations, which will be further improved in the future.

      The Kydroid project is still under development and improvement. Currently, it can only run on the "Feiteng + Kirin" platform. It is expected to expand to the X86 and Ubuntu Kylin platforms later this year, and will improve and develop more new functions. Support for Android applications will also be more comprehensive, practical and stable!
