Feynman's technique emphasizes 'teaching to promote learning', telling a novice what he has learned. If he understands it, you will basically understand the concept.
Steps of the Feynman technique:
- Pick a concept you want to understand and write that concept on the top of the blank sheet of paper.
- Imagine a scenario where you are teaching this concept to others. When you do this you will become more aware of whether you really understand the concept.
- If you get stuck, go back and review the study materials. until you can successfully complete step 2.
- Make your explanation easy to understand and simplify your language as much as possible.
