Remotely connect to Alibaba Cloud Linux server (Xshell and Xftp free version download address)

Open the Alibaba Cloud console, find your own server, (note whether you are using a lightweight web server or an ECS server, these two consoles are not together, the first time the landlord uses the Alibaba Cloud lightweight web server, he arrives I searched in ECS, but I couldn't find it no matter how I looked. I thought the server instance was not created. Finally, I found it in the lightweight web console.)

All Alibaba Cloud servers have the ssh service installed by default, which is the openssh-server service. The Alibaba Cloud server has ssh installed by default, so the installation of the ssh service will not be discussed here. The landlord will write another blog to introduce the installation of some service software.

first step:

Download Xshell and Xftp, Xshell can connect to the server remotely through ssh service, and it is more secure than other ftp, pop, and Telnet services. For specific ssh information, you can use Baidu. The ssh introduced in Baidu is quite detailed.

Xshell and Xftp were originally commercial software, but there are also free versions. That is the Home & school version. Uninstall the original program, download and install the free versions of xshell and Xftp. Link for free version: http://www.netsarang.com/download/free_license.html

Go to the official website, select Xshell, click the Home & school version, write the name of the company casually, and write your own mailbox in the mailbox, and the download address will be sent to your mailbox later, log in to the mailbox on the computer, click to enter the mailbox, and click the download link to download. . Follow the same steps to install Xftp. Xftp can provide file upload and download services from the server. Note that downloading Xftp must be the same as the Xshell version, otherwise it will not be recognized. For example the Xshell6 service recognizes Xftp5.

Step 2: Open Xshell, as follows:

Create a new session window and change the name if you want. The default is fine, but it doesn't look good. Then fill in the host's public network IP address (note that it is the public network IP, not the Alibaba Cloud intranet IP), then click the user authentication in the figure, fill in the shh user and password, click Finish, and start connecting to the Alibaba Cloud server.

This will log in to the service, click the red mark in the figure below, and you can perform file operations on the server.

To upload and download files, you only need Xftp to drag files between the two boxes. Isn't it very simple and practical, ssh is safer and easier to use than ftp.
