When I installed jupyter on a Mac, I encountered a situation where the Python setuptools library could not be upgraded. The reason was the Mac's security settings, which can be solved using the following methods:
- Restart your computer, hold while booting to
Command+Renter Mac Protected Mode. - Open the command line and enter the command to
csrutils disableclose the system security policy. - Restart the computer and continue to install jupyter.
- After the installation is complete, repeat the above method
csrutils enableand restart again.
