Several big pits about CTeX

https://blog.csdn.net/zjutczj/article/details/53463478

Recently, I have been busy writing small papers, mid-term defense of the graduation project, and have not updated the blog. After I have been busy for a while, I will share some experience of learning machine learning during this time. Today, I will share a few big pits I just encountered using CTeX, hoping to save some children's shoes that have not yet been recruited.

以下几个问题并不一定完全出现或者同时出现,如果遇到了可以作为参考解决方案。

    • The problem of overwriting system environment variables when CTeX is installed is
very serious, but the problem seems to only occur on the official CTeX image. Therefore, to be on the safe side, you must back up the system environment variable path before installing CTex. If it has been installed, it will be saved as long as it is not turned off; if it is turned off...hehe...welcome to share it with bloggers Feeling. Don't ask how I know that... rant.gif.

    • Because of the above problems, the environment variables are incomplete, which will lead to another error during compilation.
It means that CTeX is a stupid fork. During installation, the environment variables are overwritten and the environment variables written before are also overwritten. Therefore, many people will keep reporting errors when using winEdt:

The CTex system cannot find the specified file

Congratulations, you have been recruited. Although it is impossible to restore the original environment variables, it is still possible to solve this problem. This problem is because MiKTeX compiler environment variables are overwritten by his pig teammates. If some children's shoes are spared, it may be using relatively new components.
Therefore, just add "D:\CTEX\MiKTeX\miktex\bin" to the path. My path is the D drive, and the specific situation is selected according to your own installation path.

    • Chinese is not supported
The purpose of using CTeX is to better support Chinese. If the Chinese support is not good, please don't worry. First, the file format needs to be saved as UTF-8 encoding. After saving the tex file, you can see it in the status bar at the bottom of winEdt, as shown below.
      write picture description here
If it is not UTF-8, click to change the Document Mode to UTF-8.
The compiler chooses XeLaTex, which has better support for Chinese, as shown in the following figure:

If the above solutions do not meet the Chinese requirements, you can try other solutions on the Internet, such as CJK.

I am also a novice, I welcome criticism and corrections. My own problems with CTeX will continue to be updated on this blog.
