After changing Firefox for a while, sometimes opening Google will prompt "Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting requests for this address in a loop", as shown in the figure: I thought it was the practice of being walled before, but I didn't pay much attention to it. Recently, almost Couldn't use Google, so I started looking for a reason. According to the page prompt, it may be the reason why cookies are disabled, but this only occurs in Google, and other websites have no problem. It should not be that cookies are disabled. Go to "Options" -> "Privacy", as I thought, cookies are not Disabled. It's a bit embarrassing, so I took a look at Baidu (Google can't use >_<). Most of the information is about the language setting of Firefox. Don't set Simplified Chinese first. The specific method is: go to "Options" -> "Content", click the "Select" button in the "Language" frame, and move "English [en]" to the top. After this setting, Google can open, but it becomes an English page. So I added "Chinese/Hong Kong, China [zh-hk]" again, moved it to the top, and the page turned into traditional Chinese, which finally got better. However, the problem is that logging in to the Google account has no effect. The original default setting to search for simplified Chinese results is invalid! So go to Google's settings page, prompting that cookies are disabled. Apparently the problem hasn't been solved yet. Continue to find information, some people say that it may be a problem with the router. My computer has two network environments that can be used, one is to access the school's education network through a router, and the other is China Mobile's wireless network. I found that the above problems did not occur when connecting to the mobile wireless network! Is it a router problem? I won't have to flash the router firmware again. . . No, I used to connect to this router when I used Chrome, and it didn't seem to have a problem. Based on the above situation, I shifted the suspect target to the proxy server. Because the education network is very slow to access the external network, it needs to use a proxy server to accelerate it. I don't like Sogou browser, and I want to use its proxy acceleration function, so I let it be a background proxy (for details, please refer to my previous blog post). Considering that there is no problem as long as I use the wireless network, this is most likely caused by the proxy server.

In fact, since Google withdrew from China, access to Google has been disconnected from time to time (the reason everyone knows), to maintain stability, it is necessary to use the SSL encrypted connection version of Google. Recently, Google has added SSL encrypted connections to websites in most regions, tried it out, and accessed it normally! Next, just replace the Google search that comes with Firefox with the SSL encrypted version of the address.
Open about:config in the Firefox address bar, enter keyword.URL in the "Search" field of the filter, and change the value to https://www.google.com.hk/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sourceid =navclient&gfns=1&q=
Then enter the Firefox installation directory, open google.xml under searchplugins, and change the Google address to https://www.google.com.hk as shown below. If it does not take effect, please open C:\Users\your username\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ there is a *.default under it which is the user profile folder, put the modified google.xml in the searchplugins file Folder (if not, create a new one), it is best to change the second line of google.xml to <ShortName>Google</ShortName> or other name you like. For Linux users, the Firefox user folder is located at: /home/your-username/.mozilla/firefox/*.default. Restart Firefox and you're done~ If it doesn't take effect, please cut the file to another location, restart Firefox and exit, and then cut the file back.

In addition, for the situation that the Google search result link cannot be opened, but can be opened directly by accessing the corresponding address, it is because the Google jump is caused by harmony, and the oil monkey script can be installed to deal with it (the installation address of oil monkey: http://mozilla. com.cn/addon/14/ ), then open http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/121261 , click the Install button and confirm the installation.
