Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.5 Officially Released with Enhanced Features

Red Hat today announced the availability of the Red Hat Enterprise Linux  7.5 operating system, with new features and security enhancements required for hybrid cloud environments and the enterprise world. Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.5 improves performance, enhances security, and deploys a host of new features to benefit enterprise customers on desktop, server and cloud infrastructures.

Red Hat Enterprise Linux provides a scalable, flexible and powerful bridge, and the latest release of the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.5 operating system brings more capabilities to the world's leading enterprise Linux platform, from secure scale to improved storage efficiency, driving Hybrid cloud moves forward.

The Meltdown and Spectre security vulnerabilities are fully patched in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.5, which integrates Red Hat Ansible automation tools with OpenSCAP, an open source utility for implementing the Secure Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) standard Collection and provides further integration with the Windows infrastructure in Microsoft Azure.

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.5 also adds support for more secure unlocking of network-bound disk encryption devices during startup, processing, and implements Virtual Data Optimizer (VDO) technology designed to reduce Data redundancy, thereby drastically reducing the cost of proactively storing and storing monthly snapshots, and providing IT administrators with a simplified web-based management interface.

To improve recovery and rollback speeds for mission-critical environments, Red Hat's latest OS release introduces a new way to automatically create bootable snapshots after security patching. Finally, it enhances container security with new proactive security and compliance configurations.
