At the same time, the well-known and winning company A has also embarked on the road of artificial + technology (artificial intelligence). However, in the face of supervision, it still encountered various "waterloos".

why is that? Is it really just a matter of values, or is there some other reason? In a closed-door salon, the topic of "How to Become an Excellent Content Security (Anti-Spam) Product Manager" shared by Wei Xiaohui, senior product operator of NetEase Yunyidun, provided us with another perspective.

Understanding Content Security (Anti-Spam)

As a content platform, there must be an awareness that content security (anti-spam) is the lifeblood of the company. Therefore, the awareness of content security must be raised to a very high level.

In reality, the ability to filter spam is an important indicator for the healthy development of products and companies, whether from the perspective of national policies or product development and community atmosphere.

What is the anti-rubbish? As the name suggests, content that does not conform to product positioning can be broadly classified into illegal information and harmful information. Illegal information is the content clearly pointed out by national laws, such as pornography, gambling, drugs, violence, etc.; harmful information can be understood as related to Product positioning and development of conflicting content, such as patch ads, meaningless screen brushing, etc.

Where is the difficulty? Differences between content security (anti-spam) product managers and other product managers

To what extent must it be achieved? Qualities a Content Security Product Manager Should Have 

From two perspectives:

1. Business architecture direction

Due to the particularity of the anti-spam business, product managers need to understand the market, understand the potential risk crises of customer groups, and understand the differences in risks in different industries and even different scenarios, so that they can consider multiple aspects in the business structure. While controlling the overall situation, it can also refine the details, so as to propose a "grounded" solution.

Taking text as an example, the necessary qualities for a strategic product manager are:

a.     Industry analysis ability and personalized strategy ability: The diversity of the Internet industry determines that the problems encountered in each industry have unique industry characteristics. Product managers need to understand the garbage characteristics that may appear in each industry sample, and conduct in-depth analysis and research on customers. The products are located in the point, line and surface, so as to provide suitable solutions for diverse needs, truly penetrate the industry, gain insight into the future, grow together with customers, and keep pace with the times;

b.     Excellent language skills: The process of the strategy can be understood as three parts: garbage sample analysis - garbage feature extraction - strategy output. At present, the content of filtering is still mainly in Chinese, but Chinese grammar is profound and the composition of words and sentences is complex. The lack of Chinese grammar foundation will inevitably lead to strategy deviation. Having a good Chinese language skills is the basic condition for effectively extracting sample features and improving filtering accuracy;

c.     Political quality, legal awareness, computer knowledge: To ensure the effect, a huge garbage sample database is essential , and it is a strategy to have good political quality and legal awareness, accurately identify and predict new types of garbage samples, and control the risk scale. The necessary qualities for product managers; secondly, after sorting, feature materials need to be converted into computer language to add inflow strategy library, and finally generate algorithm models and automate processing, which requires product managers to have certain computer knowledge; finally, new garbage emerges in an endless stream, the original The strategy may be overturned or denied at any time, which also requires excellent psychological quality.

2. System architecture direction

架构功能完备、准确率高的反垃圾产品,需要产品经理做好各类前期规划与协调工作。

a.    功能完备的系统:包括易于操作的审核系统、功能齐全的管理系统、便于管理的策略系统等,这些系统缺一不可;

b.    要保证准确率高:首先机器识别准确率要高,文本、图片等的识别模型的管理、版本迭代优化情况都要做到实时跟踪;机器算法之外,如果要用到人工审核,则审核系统的操作便捷,系统收集审核人员的需求,页面展示易用性,功能完整性等都是产品经理需要重视的问题;

要实现以上的内容,产品经理至少需要具备以下素质:

a.    系统开发基础:要做好完善的系统,具备一定的代码知识和开发基础,了解模型如何实现、优化空间、实现最优结果;

b.    考虑周全:功能的前期策划、如何展示提高效率,减少重复、无效劳动等,都是产品经理需要考虑的点;

c.    协调各个部门能力:功能实现、算法优化需要产品经理与各个部门协调资源,推进落地实现。

综上来看,内容安全实际是一项门槛高、专业要求高的事情。

随着国家管控力度不断加强,要想保证产品和公司持续、稳定的发展,公司除了加强价值观建设和人工审核之外,也要求产品经理和技术能力双重的提升,才能应对内容的各种不确定性。

对于一般企业而言,持续、高成本的技术投入,势必会增加企业运营的成本,因此将内容安全(反垃圾)交付专业的第三方机构来做,或许是他们当下做为稳妥的做法。

而对于有实力、有资本的大企业,不论是战略上还是战术上都得重视,因为这不仅仅是价值观和技术的问题,也需要人员的长期培养、垃圾特征库的长期积累等。
