About the merger experience of several vcenters!

Since the company leaders recently felt that the IPs of different network segments managed by several vcenters in the company were inconvenient to operate during office work, I merged the esxi hosts on several vcenters into one!

After several tests, I found that the easiest way is to directly use a vcenter to take over the hosts on other vcenters. It should be noted that the distributed switches on the source vcenter should be configured before taking over. (Note: It needs to be configured with the original vcenter. The configuration of the distributed switch is the same), then create the corresponding data center and cluster, and then add the host directly to the cluster and add it to the distributed switch at the same time (here, when the host is added to the distributed switch, the virtual machine on the host is located. If the host uses a distributed switch network card, the network will be disconnected). It should be noted that it will not affect the use of business after taking over, but the host chooses a new distributed switch, which will cause the virtual machine above to lose the distributed network card! Therefore, when the host is added to the distributed switch, it is necessary to re-select the virtual machine network card at the first time! Before merging, it is best to count which virtual machines on each host use the distributed switch network card!
