I came back from a business trip for a few days and found that ubuntu crashed. After forced shutdown and restart, I could not enter the system after restarting, and stopped at ubuntu /dev/sda1 contains a file system error … (initramfs):

As a workaround, enter:
fsck -yv /dev/sda1
After executing:
reboot
That's it. Note: If the prompt is /dev/sdax, enter fsck -yv /dev/sdax.
