Prize-winning research is here! Let's talk about software development efficiency

Are you still troubled by "being busy every day but inefficient at work"? Are you still crazy about "always staying up late and working overtime, but the quality of the work is not high"?

You must still remember the discussion about '996 Fortune News' and 'Inner Volume' on the Internet last year. With the intensification of involution and the prevalence of overtime culture, many people equate overtime with struggle. But the fact is that excessive overtime not only fails to improve work efficiency, but also causes employees to suffer from severe procrastination.

In the middle of last year, Internet companies announced the cancellation of large and small weeks one after another. Overnight, the wind of 'anti-involution' swept across major factories. So what is the underlying logic of 'anti-involution'? Is it 'rotten' or 'lay flat'? No, the essence of 'anti-involution' is to improve 'R&D efficiency' - not by blindly stacking labor time in exchange for results, but actually improving output efficiency and quality.

The improvement of software R&D efficiency can help us deliver better business value more efficiently, with high quality, reliability and sustainability, thereby speeding up the process of 'anti-involution', saying goodbye to overtime and baldness, and saying hi to all happiness.

In order to understand the status quo and trends of software R&D efficiency in China, and listen to the voices and demands of front-line developers, China Academy of Information and Communications Technology has joined forces with the cloud software engineering community, China DevOps community, QECon organizing committee, software quality reports, HeapDump performance community, and test nests. The community, the Open Source GITOPS Industry Alliance, Huawei Developer Alliance, and Open Source China (in no particular order) jointly launched the "2022 China Software R&D Efficiency Survey" . We will work with industry experts to write high-quality survey reports based on the results of the questionnaire, which will contribute to the improvement of my country's software R&D efficiency.

China Academy of Information and Communications Technology is a scientific research unit directly under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It is a think tank and enabler for the innovation and development of the information society. It supports major policies and leads technical standards with its expertise, and stands firmly at the forefront of technology in the international ICT industry. It is the responsibility of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology to cooperate with production, academia, research, and use multiple forces to promote the improvement of the domestic software R&D level and the construction effect of the R&D efficiency system.

We sincerely invite you to share your insights based on your industry knowledge and experience, and jointly help the construction of my country's software R&D efficiency system! Just take up your time to show off a cup of milk tea or watch a few videos (about 10 minutes), we will select lucky anti-rollers from users who have completed the questionnaire carefully, and give gifts such as computer bags/cultural shirts/U disks/notebooks . Please give your support!
