A guide on how to list and publish your Oculus Quest2 app

1. Platform selection

Oculus Store

Official Oculus Store, subject to full Oculus review and meets all quality requirements. In addition to the stricter technical review, the content of the app or game will also be reviewed because Oculus is very protective of its storefront. Games that are approved and placed in the store are displayed on the home page, in the Oculus mobile app, and searchable within the website.
Games sold on the official store must give 30% of their sales to Oculus.

Oculus App Lab

Oculus App Lab is a new product that requires no store approval and no sideloading. The Quest Store will maintain the same high quality, and App Lab games and experiences will still require Oculus review and approval, but approval time and effort have been reduced. App Lab supports free and paid apps, which can be shared via URL or Oculus Keys. While the App Lab is not the same as the Oculus Store, and App Lab apps won't appear in the Oculus Store, customers who install apps from the App Lab will find them in their Quest library. App Lab apps can also be searched by their exact name and found in the "App Lab" section of the results.
Developers who place games on the App Lab or the official store must still give Oculus a 30% cut of every paid game sold.

SideQuest VR

SideQuest VR is another VR app store for Oculus Quest. Unlike the Oculus Store or App Lab, SideQuest VR is not affiliated with Oculus and is treated entirely independently. Before Oculus launched the App Lab, SideQuest was the largest and only game app store that couldn't get official store approval. VR games submitted to SideQuest only go through an administrative approval process before being put on the store. Connect your Oculus Quest 2 to your computer to install and manage games through the SideQuest software.
Currently App Lab has partnered with SideQuest to submit App Lab URLs instead of Android APKs to SideQuest and promote apps directly to the SideQuest community
