WIN10 Hyper-V steps to create a new virtual machine and instructions for some pitfalls

Win10 Home Edition can’t find Hyper-V. It can only be found in Enterprise Edition, Professional Edition, Education Edition, or Government Office. If you are a Home Edition, you can generate a Professional Edition, so I won’t teach you how to modify it here. I don’t know how to Baidu!

After Hyper-V is installed, the network card configuration will change slightly.

① Click the start button, and select [Windows Management Tools]-[Hyper-V Manager] in the pop-up menu.

② In the Hyper-V Manager window, you can see that the common operations are on the right, click [Virtual Switch Manager].

③ You can see that a virtual switch connected to the external network has been generated, and the model of the network card is used as the name of the virtual switch. If the network card is not selected during installation, you can also manually create a new virtual switch here.

④ Check the network information of the server, you can see that the name of the network card is virtual.

[Prompt] Because there is only one network card, this network card is selected to establish a virtual switch during installation. After installation, the IP address of the network card becomes automatically obtained, and the IP address needs to be reset. It is recommended to use other network cards to build a virtual switch, and the network card connected to the network cable is used for remote access.

  Create a virtual machine

Now you can start to create a virtual machine, here is the latest Windows10 as an example.

① In the Hyper-V Manager window, click [New]-[Virtual Machine].

② Before you start, you are prompted to click Finish to create a virtual machine with default configuration, or click Next to create a custom-configured virtual machine, here click [Next].

③ Create a name for the newly created virtual machine, because the hard disk file storage directory has been set when Hypter-V is installed, click [Next] directly here.

④ The Hyper-V that comes with Windows Server 2016, compared to the previous version, adds support for UEFI. If you install Windows8, Windows10, you can choose the second generation, if it is WindowsXP, Windows7, you must choose the first generation. Windows 10 is installed here, select the second generation, and click [Next].

⑤ Allocate memory to the virtual machine, the default is 1G, here you can modify the size according to the actual situation, because the installed system does not run large programs, here is to allocate 2G memory to it, click [Next]. Note: If you modify the startup memory here, and use dynamic memory for the virtual machine is checked, an error will be reported when installing virtual win7. (Not enough storage)

⑥ Set the network card to connect to the virtual switch, and click [Next].

⑦ Modify the size of the hard disk according to actual needs. After Windows 10 is installed, more than 10G will be used. Here only install the system for testing, leaving 20G should be enough, click [Next].

⑧ Select the image file to install the system, find the installation image file on the hard disk, and click [Next]. If it is a remote desktop connection server, you can copy local hard disk files to the server by sharing local resources. Note: Be sure to choose the genuine official mirror, address: https://msdn.itellyou.cn/ Download using Thunder browser. Installations downloaded from other ways will cause errors.

⑨ After completing the configuration settings, click [Finish].

⑩ In the Hyper-V Manager, you can see the newly generated Windows 10 virtual machine, click [Connect] under the virtual machine.

⑪ When the virtual machine window appears, click the boot icon.

⑫ Just like we installed the system with CD or U disk, the system installation interface appears, and the following operations are normal installation, which is omitted here. . . . . .

⑬ After installing the system, set the IP address of the network card, and just a Windows 10 with Internet access.

What to do if the virtual machine Hyper-v cannot connect to the Internet under Windows 10

Release time: 2016-06-01 15:56 Publisher: System City-Small Group Views: 1728

The latest Win10 official version of the system comes with the virtual machine Hyper-v, but the user does not seem to be so smooth in the process of using it. For example, a user reported that after installing the virtual machine in the win10 system, he found that Hyper-v could not connect to the Internet. What should I do? Below, the editor will share with you the specific method for the successful networking of the virtual machine Hyper-v under the Windows 10 system.

The specific method is as follows:

1. Open the Hyper-v manager of the virtual machine under Win10 and check the settings of the installed virtual machine. For example, mine is a win7 system.

Steps to solve the problem that the virtual machine Hyper-v cannot be connected to the Internet under Windows 10 system 1

2. After opening the settings, click the network adapter on the left, and then select the new virtual switch on the right virtual switch and confirm.

Note: The "New Virtual Switch" option may not appear. As shown in the figure below, only the default switch and disconnection will be displayed: Solution: When you do the 5th below, come back and change to "New Virtual Switch" That's it.

3. Return to the Hyper-v manager and click on the virtual switch manager.

4. Create a virtual switch. If you want to connect a virtual machine to the network, you need to choose external. If you only want to use the virtual machine to interact with the machine, you can choose internal (you can transfer files to each other through network neighbors). Here is an introduction from outside.

5. After clicking OK, one will be generated in the main computer system.

6. At this time, right-click on vEthernet and select properties, and select internett protocol version 4 (tcp/ipv4). Ip can be specified or automatically obtained according to the situation.

The other Ethernet adapter is not required to be managed. Under normal circumstances, the computer can connect to the Internet. If it is not necessary to delete the newly created virtual machine manager in the virtual switch manager, just re-establish it.

Through the above steps, we can successfully network the virtual machine Hyper-v under the Windows 10 system. Friends in need, hurry up and try the above methods. It should be noted that there are a lot of steps in this method, so don't miss it during the operation.
