Intranet IP: Some small businesses or schools usually apply for a fixed IP address, and then through IP sharing (IP Sharing), the entire company or school can access the Internet. The IP addresses used by the machines of these enterprises or schools are intranet IPs. Generally, the commonly used intranet IP addresses are in this form: 10.XXX, 172.16.XX-172.31.XX, 192.168.XX, etc. It should be noted that computers on the intranet can send connection requests to other computers on the Internet, but other computers on the Internet cannot send connection requests to computers on the intranet.

Public IP: Public IP is an IP address other than the reserved IP address, which can communicate with other computers on the Internet at will. The IP address we usually refer to actually refers to the public network IP. Every computer on the Internet has an independent IP address, which uniquely identifies a computer on the Internet.

How to check the IP address of the external network and the internal network? There are two ways to check.

Method 1: Open the browser and enter "IP address query" to display the public IP of your current computer.

Method 2: Open "Run" in "Start" and enter cmd. Enter ipconfig in the black screen that pops up. If the IP Address displays in the form of 192.168.*.*, this is the intranet IP.
