Today is February 19, the eighth day of the Lunar New Year. Unknowingly, the year is coming to an end, and school is about to start. During the New Year, I went to relatives and traveled to have fun. It’s rare to have a leisure time at home these days. Looking through the photos of the previous competitions and sorting out the competition materials, it feels like the past. It’s been a long time, my memory is a little fuzzy... There are not many things before the beginning of school, so I will summarize the memories of the previous competitions and let myself be relieved. It is also a study before the beginning of school. 1. Participate
To be honest, I participated in this competition by mistake. I remember clearly that in July last year, I had just finished the final exam and the computer design competition had just ended. I found a part-time job during the summer vacation to help the counseling agency promote enrollment. When I was setting up a booth to recruit students, my teacher called me and told me that there was a competition, which had a general direction. If I did it well, the chances of winning would be high. He also sent me the relevant information and entry requirements for me to have a look. The teacher asked me if I could take charge of the competition and let him complete it smoothly. At that time, I was a little hesitant and worried that there was not enough time, but because of the experience of the computer design competition, I believed it could be completed, so I participated in this competition.
2. School competition
Looking back now, the process of participating in the competition was not smooth. During the half-month of my part-time work, my partner and I had to go to various schools with the tutors during the day to distribute flyers, explain to parents what courses are in the tutoring class, clean up the classroom, etc. And to catch up with the entrance examination and set up a stall to send water to the candidates, those few days were really busy.

Fortunately, the submission time required for the school competition is relatively long, we have time to complete, our product design manual, I clearly remember our entries, the exact direction and the formation of the complete idea on July 15th. On the first day of the entrance exam, after I went home that night, Teacher Yu called me and we talked for more than an hour. Teacher Yu asked me to close my eyes and listen to him. He came to me to describe what he constructed. I heard something that I didn’t understand about the works and design ideas. Teacher Yu would explain to me again. I have good ideas, so I can talk about them. This competition is really important to the ideas provided by the teacher. Before, my fellow students and I also discussed the ideas of the entries, but we failed to give a complete design plan with detailed theoretical basis. After talking with Teacher Yu, we determined the direction of the competition, and the work has a basic framework.
In the next few days, I was busy, forming a written text of the discussion ideas between us and the teacher, and looking up documents to provide theoretical support for our design ideas. After several days of unremitting efforts, I finally formed the first draft of our entry. I wrote the design ideas of the work in detail from inside to outside, and added some more detailed explanations by looking for information. After that, I will send the first draft to the students and members of our group, we will brainstorm, find loopholes, modify and improve the design manual of the work. We changed the submission materials for the school competition in another two days. We signed up to participate in the A category-creative design category.

Three, provincial competition
During the provincial competition, my part-time job was about to end, and the enrollment and publicity work was successfully completed. I have enough time to devote myself to the competition and sort out the detailed materials that need to be submitted for the provincial competition. The provincial competition needs to upload two videos according to the requirements, one is the overall display video of the work, and the other is the function display introduction video. Because I have experience in making videos in computer design competitions, I made the video a lot more proficient and smooth this time. Of course, in order to achieve the expected results, it took a lot of time. I first prepared the PPT for the defense, and then I made a video on the basis of PPT. The video I made in the first version was a bit too bright because the color of the PPT was a bit too bright, and the video looked messy. After the teacher’s guidance and modification, I re-adjusted and modified it and produced a new version of the video. Everyone was quite satisfied with what I did this time. After finishing the video, it is dubbing. Because it’s not convenient for me to record outside during the day, the dubbing work was handed over to my younger brother to complete O(∩_∩)O. The younger brother completed the dubbing work very carefully and very well, and finally edited and integrated the video. We have completed our entry video completely. After finishing the video, we are also very confident and believe that we can enter the national competition through our hard work.
Fourth, the national competition
The notice of the national competition came, and our work has entered the national competition! On the basis of the materials submitted before, the national competition needs to submit some relevant materials again, including the model diagram of the work, the introduction of the entry, etc. We have submitted all the materials that need to be submitted in time according to the requirements of the competition. After that, we waited for the final online defense. Due to the special reasons of the epidemic last year, many competitions were changed to online defenses. This ocean contest is no exception. The final online defense is drawn on the afternoon of the first day. No The waiting time is as long as the last computer design competition. This time, my team members and I are familiar with each other. I followed the defense process that I drilled before and successfully completed the introduction of our design works. After that is the questioning session of the judges. I clearly remembered the questions raised by the judges:
What is the specific sailing speed at sea for the works you designed?
When I heard this question, I was stunned, because our entire work from the beginning of the design to the end had not thought about this issue, because we participated in the innovative design category, we thought that we only need to give a complete design idea, but I did not expect the judges teacher Ask in-depth questions about speed and the actual use of the product. There is no way for me to answer truthfully. Our work has not yet made a real object, and there is no specific estimate of the speed. We need to conduct further experiments to get the speed of our work. Afterwards, the teacher of the judges said yes, and then he did not continue to inquire. I can't remember what happened after that. The game is completely over and we wait for the final result.
Five, the end
After the defense, we still have some hope for the final result. We think that although it is still difficult for our works to be made in kind, our detailed design ideas and unique creativity should be able to win some points for us. After all, we participated It’s a creative design competition. Finally, the results of the competition came out and we got the second prize, which exceeded our expectations. We were all very happy. Every time I participate in the competition, I have different experiences and gains. Let me talk about the shortcomings. After this competition and the defense process, I understand that we have not prepared enough. It is only a product design idea, but no further considerations. Various influencing factors when making a real object. We also need to consider in more detail. This competition is indeed due to the tight schedule, and the submitted entries did not usually involve too much study and accumulation of learning. As a result, the design works can only stay in the creative design stage and fail to truly form a real object.
Of course, we have shortcomings and advantages. Because the competition we participated in this time is a creative design category, creativity also accounts for an important part. This time our work I think the design ideas are very creative, and the topic selection this time is also very suitable for real life. ,solve the real problem. This is where I think we have done better.
Through participating in this competition, I realized that no matter what I do, I have to be steadfast and thoroughly study it so that I can learn something and truly learn what I want. I feel this This is the most important harvest of this competition.
