Introduction to SAP ECM function

There are three settings related to SAP ECM (Engineering Change Management).
In order to enable ECM and force the user to enter the Change Number when modifying the BOM, the following settings need to be made
1. TCODE: OS27, set whether to enable the ECM function to
run OS27, check EC management active, this will enable ECM, and there is an option History below reqmt, if checked at the same time, the Change Number must be entered when all BOMs are created.

2. TCODE: OS25, set which types of BOM need to enable the ECM function to
run OS25, click the New Entries button, enter the BOM Usage and BOM Status, and check the HistReq field, then the corresponding BOM needs to enter the Change Number when modifying . It should be noted that if a BOM is created with a Change Number entered, then the Change Number must also be entered when modifying it, regardless of the OS25 setting.

3. User authority setting. Set whether the user can
use TCODE: PFCG to set without entering the Change Number when modifying the BOM . Authorization Ojbect: C_STUE_NOH, set its value to empty, if its value is'X', when the user creates and modifies the BOM and does not enter the Change Number, the system will only show a warning instead of forcing the user to enter Change Number, if ECM is not started, this item is meaningless.

CC01-Create Change Number
CC02-Modify Change Number
CC03-Display Change Number
CC07-After the user has modified the BOM, you can check which items have been modified through the corresponding Change Number in CC07.
