Windows configuration FTP tutorial

Due to the different versions of windows, there are some inconsistencies in the configuration. I mainly use windows server 2008 and Windows server 2012 for demonstration.

1. Windows 2008 configuration FTP operation steps through IIS

I will not repeat the installation of IIS here.
Click Start> Administrative Tools> Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager, right-click the server name, and select Add FTP Site.

Enter the FTP site name, select the path, and click Next.

Check all unassigned IP addresses, select No SSL for SSL, and click Next.

Select basic for authentication, select all users for authorization, select read and write permissions, and click Finish.

At this point, your FTP configuration is complete. Now you can use the administrator account and password to upload or download files via FTP

Windows 2012 configuration FTP steps through IIS

Click the icon to enter the server manager.

Basic authentication is selected, all users are authorized to be selected, and permissions are set to read and write. Click Finish.

Use the system default administrator account and password to perform a login test. Now you can upload and download files normally.
