From mold design, stamping to material selection, Teacher Li will teach you the complete workflow:

The stamping process is a method in which an external force is applied to the blank through a mold to produce plastic deformation or separation, thereby obtaining a workpiece with a certain size, shape and performance. Stamping process and die design is an important technical preparation process for stamping. Stamping process and die design should be combined with the actual conditions of equipment and personnel, and comprehensively consider the quality, efficiency, strength, environmental protection and safety of the parts, select and Design a technologically advanced, economically reasonable, safe and reliable process plan and mold structure. The following briefly introduces the process of stamping die design

1. Introduction to stamping die design:
die design includes the selection and design of die structure, calculation of die structure parameters, and drawing of die drawings.
(1) Selection and design of die structure form
According to the proposed process plan, the stamping die structure form is selected and designed considering the shape characteristics of the stamping parts, the size of the parts, the precision requirements, the batch size, the mold conditions, the convenience and safety requirements of operation, etc.
(2) Calculation of mold structure parameters After
determining the mold structure form, it is necessary to calculate or check the relevant parameters of the mold structure, such as the geometric dimensions of the mold part (convex, concave mold, etc.), the strength and stiffness of the mold parts, and the movement of the mold parts. Movement parameters, installation dimensions between mold and equipment, selection and calculation of elastic components, etc.
(3) Drawing the mold drawing The
mold drawing is the final embodiment of the stamping process and mold design results. A complete set of mold drawing should include complete information of the mold and the mold used. The mold drawing consists of the assembly drawing and the parts drawing of non-standard parts.

2. The basic requirements of
stamping materials The materials used for stamping must not only meet the technical requirements of the design, but also meet the requirements of the stamping process and the subsequent process requirements of stamping.
(1) Requirements for stamping and forming performance
In order to facilitate stamping deformation and the improvement of part quality, the material should have good plasticity, small yield ratio, large plate thickness directivity coefficient, small plate plane directivity coefficient, and material yield The ratio of strength to elastic modulus is small. For the separation process, the material does not need to have good plasticity, and the better the plasticity, the more difficult it is to separate.
(2) Requirements for material thickness tolerances The thickness tolerances of
materials should comply with national standards. Because a certain mold gap is suitable for a certain thickness of material, the material thickness tolerance is too large, which not only directly affects the quality of the part, but may also cause damage to the mold and punch.

3. Selection of precision stamping oil
Stamping oil plays a key role in the stamping process. Good cooling performance and extreme pressure and wear resistance have made a qualitative leap in the service life of the mold and the improvement of workpiece accuracy. Depending on the material of the workpiece, the performance focus of stamping oil is different when it is selected.
(1) Selection of stamping oil for
silicon steel plate Silicon steel plate is a material that is relatively easy to punch. Generally, for the ease of cleaning of the finished workpiece, stamping oil with low viscosity is used on the premise of preventing punching burrs.
(2) Selection of stamping oil for
carbon steel plate When selecting stamping oil for carbon steel plate, the first thing you should pay attention to is the viscosity of the drawing oil. Determine the best viscosity according to the difficulty, the method of drawing oil and the degreasing conditions.
(3) The selection of stamping oil for galvanized steel sheet is
chemically reacted with chlorine additives, so when selecting stamping oil for galvanized steel sheet, attention should be paid to the problem of white rust that may occur in chlorine-based stamping oil, while the use of sulfur-based stamping oil can avoid Rust problem, but should be degreased as soon as possible after stamping.
(4) Selection of stamping oil for stainless steel plates
Stainless steel is a material that is prone to hardening. It is required to use drawing oil with high oil film strength and good sintering resistance. Generally, stamping oil containing sulfur and chlorine compound additives is used to avoid problems such as burrs and cracks on the workpiece while ensuring the extreme pressure processing performance.
