As an exterior part, the smart lock panel is an important part of the smart lock.
The panel materials of smart locks are mainly divided into three categories:
Plastics such as tempered glass, acrylic and PV/PC.
1) Tempered glass is mostly used in high-end models because of its high price;
2) Although the price of PV/PC is low, few manufacturers will use it because the quality is not good enough;
3) The most widely used panel is acrylic.
Advantages and disadvantages of glass cover and acrylic cover:
1) The surface hardness of optical-grade double-sided hardened acrylic is 4H, and the hardness of tempered glass is 6 to 7H;
2) Anti-fingerprint effect acrylic and glass can be made, and anti-fingerprint is cheaper than glass;
3) Thermal expansion and contraction are physical properties of acrylic, but larger than glass;
4) Processing time. The processing time of acrylic is about one-fifth of glass. The glass must be made into a single finished product before it can be screen printed. Acrylic is batch screen printing;
5) Glass is fragile and falls freely at the same height. Acrylic is less fragile than glass;
6) Cost, the cost of glass is more than twice that of acrylic, because the glass has a high defect rate, difficult processing, bursting and scrapping rates are higher than acrylic.
