The solution to the window beyond the scope of the monitor under ubuntu

Recently I have time to learn about ubuntu, so I installed an Ubuntu 18.04 on my notebook. After the installation, I found a problem. The mouse can be moved out of the screen range to the right, and sometimes I open an application, but it is within the screen range. Can't see the window.

I searched for some information on the Internet, saying that it was the monitor resolution problem, so I wanted to open the system settings and re-adjust the monitor resolution, but after opening the settings, the window was not visible, nor within the screen range. I wanted to set the resolution. Can't set it up, what should I do? Then I thought about it, can I try Ubuntu's terminal commands if the graphical interface cannot be opened? So I checked the information on the Internet and finally found a command xrandr, which can adjust the display resolution:

xrandr --size 800x600

Note: Between 800 and 600 is a lowercase letter x.

After running the command, you can finally see the setting interface.

Next, open "Settings" -> "Device" -> "Display", set the mode to single-monitor mode, adjust the resolution, so that the mouse and application windows will not go outside the screen.

This problem is solved. When I first contacted Ubuntu, there must be more problems ahead. I will look up and down...
