Three modes of desktop cloud VDI IDV VOI (notes)

VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure)
VDI architecture "centralized storage, centralized computing" architecture, all virtual desktops are on the virtualization layer of the server hardware, and the desktops are sent to the client by means of image transmission.

IDV (Intelligent Desktop Virtualization)
IDV adopts the framework of "centralized storage and distributed computing". The virtual desktop client runs on the local computer, and the system image is uniformly stored on the server side, configured and distributed to the client machine hard disk. After each client starts the main system, it starts the virtual machine system, and then the virtual machine system carries the operation of the entire desktop environment.

VOI (Virtual OS Infrastructure)
VOI also uses a "centralized storage, distributed computing" architecture, similar to a diskless boot client system. The system files are stored on the server side. After the client machine is started, the startup data of the operating system is obtained from the server side through network redirection, and the required operating system data is gradually obtained during the running process.
