    The operating system version used is CentOS 5.7, and the original version of ORACLE is 10.2.0.1.0.

    When upgrading ORACLE to 10.2.0.4, it is always prompted to check the operating system failed. Changing the content of /etc/redhat-release to: Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 4 (Tikanga) can solve this problem.

    The error log during the upgrade is as follows:

    When 10.2.0.1.0 was installed before, the content of /etc/redhat-release was changed to redhat-4, and everything was normal during installation;

    However, during the upgrade, the content of /etc/redhat-release was redhat-4 or redhat-5 unsuccessful, try to change to Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 4 (Tikanga) to solve this problem.
