Solution for network failure when installing Oracle on CentOS5

When installing ORACLE 10.2.0.1.0, the network detection failed. The prompt message was about DHCP, but my server set a static IP.

After trying to add the IP address corresponding to hostname to /etc/hosts, it is normal.

    For example: my hostname is huzhenwei, add a line in /etc/hosts: 192.168.0.1 huzhenwei

        Then retry ORACLE's installation check, it's OK.
