This JetEngine evaluation will give a brief overview of what JetEngine is, and introduce the main functions and modules of JetEngine .
One of the features provided by Elementor Por Professional is dynamic content. This feature allows you to add dynamic content to your design, whether it is a page or a theme generator template. Although this feature is very useful for creating dynamic WordPress sites, it has some disadvantages. You can only add WordPress default dynamic content types, such as featured images, article metadata (date, time, comment count, etc.), article title, page title, website title, author information, author metadata, WooCommerce product price, WooCommerce product Inventory etc. There is no option to add custom dynamic content types, such as custom post types, custom fields, or custom classification methods. JetEngine is used to fill this.
If you have used the ACF plugin before , JetEngine is very similar to it. The difference is that JetEngine is specifically developed for Elementor . You can use it to create custom dynamic content types, and then add them to your Elementor design.

What is JetEngine?
JetEngine is a part of JetPlugins, a set of advanced Elementor add-ons developed by Crocoblock. There are 18 add-ons in this collection. As mentioned earlier, JetEngine is a plugin for creating custom content types in WordPress, just like ACF . The difference is that this plugin is specifically designed for Elementor. Custom content types are created in the JetEngine backend (dashboard), and then they can be added to the Elementor design through the Elementor editor.
You can create custom content types based on the needs of the website you want to create. You can use JetEngine to create some custom content types:
- Custom post type
- Custom field
- Custom classification method
- Custom form
- List item
- Dynamic calendar

- And several other custom content types
The default settings of JetEngine can only be used to create list items, custom post types, custom fields, and custom categories. To be able to create other custom content types, you need to enable the corresponding module.
How JetEngine works
As we mentioned in the introduction section, you can create custom content types in the JetEngine backend, and use the custom content types you created on the Elementor editor when creating pages or templates. This is great because you don't need to break your design to change values or add new dynamic content items to the design. Every change you make to dynamic content will not affect your design.
To give you an overview, let’s take the example of creating some custom fields. Open JetEngine -> Meta Boxes on your WordPress dashboard . Click the Add New button to create a new custom field grouping.
In the next step, you can add the required custom fields and set the required information, such as the name of the custom field group, where to assign it, and so on. You can click the Add Meta box button to publish a custom field group.
You can use Elementor to create a new group, or use a new group to create a new field. Add any widget (ie title widget) and go to the left panel to set the content. You can click the database icon instead of typing text. You will see the options block for JetEngine.
To use the custom field you just created, you can select the custom field option, and then select the custom field grouping drop-down menu you want to use above.
For custom content types such as forms, list grids or calendars, you need to add widgets provided by JetEngine (at the list element widgets). The concept is the same. You need to create content in the JetEngine backend before you can select any content variables.
In addition to custom content types, JetEngine can also be used to add WordPress default dynamic content types, such as post title, post meta, post extract, user profile, post thumbnails, etc. You can use dynamic field widgets, dynamic image widgets, and dynamic meta widgets to add WordPress' default dynamic content types.
JetEngine module
Similarly, the default settings of JetEngine can only be used to create list items, custom post types, custom fields and custom categories. To be able to create other custom content types, such as custom calendars, custom libraries, and custom forms, the relevant modules need to be enabled first. On your WordPress dashboard, open JetEngine -> JetEngine. On the Module tab, select the module you want to enable, and then click the Save button.
As shown in the figure above, JetEngine provides 10 modules.
1. Dynamic field grid gallery widget
You can use this module to display an image library of the default post type (blog post). To do this, you need to create a custom field group and assign it to the post . Make sure to add gallery fields when adding custom meta fields.
2. Dynamic field slideshow gallery widget
Same as the first module above, you can also use this module to display the default post type image library. The difference is that the images are displayed as a slide rather than a grid.
3. Dynamic field QR code widget
You can use this module to display the QR code using JetEngine dynamic field widgets.
4. Calendar
If you want to use JetEngine to create a dynamic calendar, you can enable this module. This module is perfect for creating dynamic event calendar pages on your website.
5. Form
You need to enable this module to create custom forms using JetEngine. JetEngine forms can be used to create a wide range of module forms. From a simple contact form, email opt-in opt-in form (can be connected to Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign and GetResponse), user registration form, front-end content submission form, reservation form, etc. There are 17 field types available. In addition, you can set conditional logic for form fields.
6. List grid injection
You can use the module to display list templates with different style settings.
7. Configuration file generator
This module allows you to create personal accounts for users on your website and allow them to submit information to your website through the front-end form.
8. List map
You can use this module to add dynamic maps to list items. Such as real estate information listing sites.
9. Dynamic visibility of controls and sections
This module allows you to define visibility parameters for each element on the page. The element will only be displayed when certain conditions are met. For example, you can hide an element on the website for logged in users, users with specific roles, etc. You can use this module to dynamically restrict certain content to certain users. After enabling this module, you will see a tab called Dynamic Visibility in the Advanced tab .
10. Data storage
On big sites like Amazon, Goodreads, and IMDb, there are functions to add products, books, and movies to the wishlist. The data storage module is used to add similar features to your website. You can also add the like function and show users how many times an item is liked by other users.

If you want to use Elementor to create a dynamic and complex WordPress website, JetEngine is a good solution. It allows you to create and add custom dynamic content types that Elementor Pro does not support, such as custom post types, custom fields, dynamic calendars, list items, etc. Combined with Elementor Pro, you will have powerful ammunition to create dynamic websites, although you can also use JetEngine on the free version of Elementor.
