LibreOffice removes VLC related code

Recently, LibreOffice employee Julien Nabet removed VLC-related code in a submission.

Julien said that this part of the code was added to LibreOffice in 2013, but has not been updated and maintained since then, and has been clearly marked as experimental code since 2015; currently, the performance of this part of the code is very unsatisfactory, the key Frame generation is terrible-including 3 seconds each time the video is played, etc. In his opinion, VLC is a great software, but 7 years of non-maintenance in the IT field is too long, and removing it is a better choice.

However, users do not need to worry about the audio and video playback problems in LibreOffice, because in addition to VLC, LibreOffice also has a variety of alternatives, such as GStreamer, which performs significantly better than VLC. And if there are developers who can maintain and improve VLC related code in the future, the development team may also restore it.
